My Coaching Philosophy
My blend of knowledge, skills and experiences make me a highly competent coach for athletes of all levels. But what I feel truly defines me best as a coach is my passion for working with people and seeing them progress toward their goals. Being able to help people along the path of a healthy, active lifestyle brings me great satisfaction whether they are striving to finish their first sprint triathlon, get started in bike racing, or to compete at the highest levels of cycling, duathlon or triathlon. I believe in recognizing everybody’s individual qualities and respecting any goal related to a healthy lifestyle.
My approach to helping you meet your goals is centered on keeping the process fun and educational. I will help you keep it enjoyable by designing a program that fits into the other facets of your life and includes a variety of workouts. Plus, you can attend one of my fun training camps to escape and do epic rides in beautiful settings. Training should not have to become an unbearable chore. The process should be as enjoyable as the result!
You will also have ample opportunity to learn along the way as my coaching plans offer a high level of coach/client interaction and my training camps have lectures and on-the-road teaching. I strive to help you understand the reasons behind your workouts and to listen to your body as you train. By gaining this understanding and awareness of your body you will be able to provide me with valuable feedback. I adapt as a coach as I learn about you, your lifestyle, your goals and how your body is responding to the training. By keeping an emphasis on excellent communications and continual learning I will be able to train you effectively within your lifestyle commitments.
